He was a member of Pine grove Baptist Church of Jena and a prominent fisherman in the Rhinehart community. Funeral services were held at 10:30a.m. Saturday April 2 at Pine Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Nugent officiating. Burial followed at Pine Grove Cemetery with arrangements by Hixson Brothers Inc. of Jena. Survivors include his wife Mrs. Emmie Marie Paul of Rhinehart; four children, Mrs Catherine McVay of Pineville, Mrs. Frankie Cupp of Beaumont, Tex., Mrs. Betha Lou Cupp of Rhinehart and Mr. J.O. Paul of Beaumont, Texas. He had nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Mr. Cliff Bolen, Mr. Lynn Clipper, Mr. Sonny Bignar, Mr. O. B. Bradford, Mr. Earnest Coleman and Mr. Cecil Clark.
