She was a homemaker and member of the Rosefield Baptist Church. She was born Aug. 17, 1906 at Pleasant hill, La. To the union of William Monroe and Ellazene Neal Enterkin. Services were held at 11 a.m., Monday, Aug. 10, at the chapel of Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home of Jena with Rev. Larry Doughty officiating. Interment followed in the Jena Cemetery under direction of Kinner and Stevens, Inc. of Jena. Survivors include four daughters, Cecil burrmann of Shreveport, Ethel lee Mele of Lake Charles, Jo Ann Andrews of Jena and Billy Clary of Longville; four sons, jerry Powe of Grayson, Nick powe of trout, Larry Powe of Grayson and Melvin Powe of Bangladesh, india; two sisters, Clara Russell and Lillie Russell, both of Olla; one brother, Fred Enterkin of Los Angeles, Calif.; two half-sisters, Elaine Zornowski of California and Barbara Carte of Indiana; one half-brother, Bill Enterkin of Jena; 18 grandchildren and 35 great- grandchildren. Pallbearers were Doug Powe, Ricky Powe, David Powe, Steve Gilley, Michael Clary and Mark Andrews.
