Services were held at 4 p.m. on Sunday at the Calvary Baptist Church near Tullos with Rev. Norris Curry officiating. Burial followed at the Magnolia Cemetery of Tullos with arrangements by Hixson Brothers Inc. of Jena. Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Bobby Kendrick of Jena, Mrs. Earlene Morrow and Mrs. Violet Waxley, both of Tullos, Mrs. Clovis Sherman of Monroe and Mrs. Sylvia Peavey of Tullos; a sister, Mrs. Elma Miles of Urania; two brothers, Eugene Weems of Keithville, La. and Silas Weems of Jena; 20 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Sam Lindsey, Sonny Lindsey, Buck Jordan, Bill Dunn, Sam Carver and S. O. Capps.
