She was a homemaker and member of Pritchard Baptist Church. She was born August 15, 1899 at Walters to the union of Elie and Ellen Reeves Crooks. Services were held at 1 p.m., Sunday, January 10, at Pritchard Baptist Church with the Revs. Carl Gulde, Doyle Stockman and Gary Norris officiating. Interment followed in the Pritchard Cemetery of Whitehall under direction of Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home of Jena. Survivors include two daughters, Mary Grace Kuhn of Whitehall and Betty Hopkins of Old River; one sister, Daisy Breithaupt of Old River; one brother, David "Coley" Crooks of Jena; 19 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, 26 great-great-grandchildren and one great-great-great-grandchild.
