Earl Paul, Sr. Died Thursday, Rites Conducted

Earl Paul, Sr., 64-year-old Walters resident, died early last Thursday morning
at the Catahoula general Hospital at Jonesville after a short illness.

He was a farmer and a resident of the French Fork area.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Kinner and
Stevens Funeral Home of Jena with Rev. Larry Walker, officiating.

Burial followed in Pine Grove Cemetery of near Whitehall under direction of
Kinner and Stevens Inc. of Jena.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Lois Paul of Walters; one daughter, Mrs.
Ruth LeMay of Trout; two sons, Earl Paul, Jr. of Whitehall and Aubrey Paul of
Jena; one brother, Pete Ogden of Jena; two sisters, Mrs. Lillie Mae Meredeth
of Urania and Mrs. Ozanner Ezell of Cut Off; his mother, Mrs. Viola Ogden of
Walters; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Pallbearers were W. L. Huffman, Charles Huffman, Mike Chevallier, Chester
Floyd, Hubert Hudnall and ......?...

Leslie Earl Paul, Sr. (My grandfather) was born August 25, 1912 in Catahoula
Parish, La. to the union of William M. "Bill" and Mary Viola Crooks Paul. On
August 12, 1931 he married Lois Lea Huffman daughter of Len and Ellen Lavinia
Chevallier Huffman.
Preceding him in death were the following :
Father, William M. "Bill" Paul d. Nov. 14, 1915
Sister, Olive Bulah Paul d. 1973 wife of Fred Chevallier
Sister, Valedine Ogden d. 1947 wife of Burl Cockerham
Son, Johnny Murrel Paul b. Nov. 10, 1935 d. Mar. 11, 1939
