He was a retired farmer and a veteran of World War II. Services were held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 16, at the Perot Family Cemetery near Grayson, with Rev. Alan Wilson, officiating. Interment followed in the Perot Family Cemetery under direction of Riser and Son Funeral Home of Columbia. Survivors include his wife, Iva Ruth Perot of Olla; a son, Ricky Lee Perot of Holum; a step-son, Ricky Hightower of Olla; three daughters, Barbara Hunt of Boyce, Gayle Meredith of Olla and Tammy Tennyson of Ball; three step- daughters, Peggy Whitman of Holum, Phyliss Stowe and Judy Cruse, both of Olla; five brothers, Butler Perot, Frank Perot, Joe Perot and R.E. Perot, all of Columbia and James Perot of Kelly; three sisters, Dorothy Thompson of Columbia, Mary Langley of West Monroe; and Ida Perot of Garrison, Texas; 20 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Pallbearers were Truman Proffer, Eddie Proffer, Glenn Whitman, William Hyde, Carl Fatheree and Steve Perot.
