Paul was born September 15, 1922 in Jena. He was the son of Willie Houston Paul and Dottie Estelle Wilson Paul. He served in the United States navy during World War II and was a personnel manager for a petroleum warehouse in Texas. Services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 30, in the Chapel of Hixson Bros. Funeral Home in Jena, with the Revs. Huey Tarpley and Mickey Hudnall, officiating. Burial was in Nebo Cemetery of Nebo, under direction of Hixson Bros. Funeral Home of Jena. He is survived by his wife Johnnie Thompson Paul of Baytown; one son, Jerry Paul of Baytown; one daughter, Bobbie Duke of Baytown; four brothers, Jewel Paul and Tommy Paul, both of Nebo, Rev. P.A. "Fox" Paul of Jena, and W.O. (Bill) Paul of Shreveport; two sisters, Agnes Yule of Henderson, Texas and Evelyn Hailey of Nebo; and seven grandchildren. Pallbearers were: Kenneth W. Paul, Andy Paul, Jerrel D. Paul, Cheston D. Paul, Willie yule and Bill Benson.
