He was a heavy equipment operator for the State of Louisiana. Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 3, 1990, in the chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home with the Revs. Mickey Hudnall and David Poole officiating. Burial was in the Squires Cemetery in Summerville under direction of Hixson Brothers of Jena. Poole is survived by one son, Ronnie Poole of Ft. Worth, Tx; one daughter, Vicky Flint of Delhi; one brother, Rev. Alban Poole of Olla; three sisters, Lila Lee Roark of Antioch, Janice Esters of Jena and Patsy Thacker of Summerville; his mother, Mrs. Hattie Poole of Summerville; and two grandchildren. Pallbearers were Juan Thacker, Rickey Westbrooks, Therand Thacker, Joe Flint, Dee Jones and Terry Roark.
