Plunkett, 78, of Good Pine, died at 10:30 p.m. Friday, September 21, 1990 at St. Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria. He was a retired oilfield pumper and member of Good Pine Baptist Church. Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Good Pine Baptist Church with Rev. Earl Gibson, officiating. Burial followed at Forest Lawn Cemetery of Pineville under direction of Hixson Brothers Inc. of Jena. Survivors include his wife, Carrie Mae Plunkett of Good Pine; one son, Robert A. Plunkett of Pasadena, Texas; one daughter, Shirley Lafite of Lakehill, Texas; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Herbert Marchall, O.D. Allbritton, Dewey Slack, Jack LeGrande, David J. Cole and Roger Dobbs, Jr.
