Peavy, 72, of Belah community, died at 5:20 p.m. Saturday, March 2, 1991 at the Veterans Medical Center in Alexandria. He was a logging contractor and member of Fellowship Baptist Church. He was a veteran of World War II. Services were held Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the chapel of Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Robertson, officiating. Burial followed at Belah Cemetery under direction of Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home of Jena. Survivors include his wife, Marie Peavy of Belah; one daughter, Wanda Fae Twiner of Alexandria; a sister, Barbara Boyett of Trout; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Earl W. Peavy, Jerry R. Peavy, Keith Bradford, Carl Peavy, Allen Windham and Charles Roberts.
