She was a housewife and a member of the Baptist Church. Funeral was held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Selma Baptist Church of near Georgetown with Rev. Victor Matthews and Rv. James Simons, officiating. Burial followed at Georgetown cemetery of Georgetown under direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral home of Jena. Survivors include her husband, Herbert B. Parnell of Georgetown; five daughters, Mrs. Denise Sullivan of Georgetown; Mrs. Marsha Sullivan of baton Rouge; Mrs. Tracey Gayle of Clinton; Miss Janice Parnell and Miss Annie Jo Parnell, both of Georgetown; three sons, Michael Parnell of Baton Rouge, David Parnell and James Parnell, both of Georgetown; two sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Degas of Glynn and Mrs. Mellie Henderson of Georgetown; and four grandhcildren.
