Homer Levi Paul

Homer Levi Paul, 74, of Jena, died at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, January 3, 2004, 
at the Golden Age Nursing Center in Jena.

He was retired as an employee of Texas and Missouri Pacific Railroad and 
also worked as course superintendent for the LaSalle Golf and Country Club 
at Trout.

Services were held at 2 p.m., Monday, Jan. 5, in the chapel of Hixson 
Brothers Funeral Home of Jena with the Revs. Joey Paul and Tommy Price
officiating. Interment followed in the Nebo Cemetery under direction of 
Hixson Brothers, Inc., of Jena.

Survivors include his wife, Vera Paul of Nebo; three daughters, Sharon 
Randall of Urania, Beverly Paul of Trinity, Texas, and Sarah Nix of Nebo; 
one son, Gordon Paul of Jena; three brothers, Hardy Paul and Martin Paul, 
both of Nebo, and Malcolm Paul of Harrisonburg; 13 grandchildren and 21 
great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Hig Hailey, Billy Paul, Jason Coon, Shelby Loe, Joe Price, 
and Bob Garifo.

Honorary pallbearers were Ricky Harris and Billy Edwards.
