Curtis Carroll officiating. Interment will follow in the Winnfield City Cemetery in Winnfield under the direction of Riser Funeral Home of Olla. Mrs. Powers was born in Winnfield on January 7, 1915 to the union of Clarence E. and Bertie Foshee Tannehill and died Thursday, April 1, 2004 at her residence in Urania. She was a retired schoolteacher, having taught school in Webster and LaSalle parishes. She was a member of the Urania United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband: Henry James Powers. Survivors include her brother: William M. Tannehill of Urania and her neices and nephews: Steve Tannehill of Urania, Janet T. Matter of Calhoun, Inez T. Fragala lof Archibald, Robert Tannehill of Houston, Texas, Peggy West of Hartford, Conn. and Grey Powers of Dallas, Texas. Pallbearers will be Danny Corley, Don Corley, Wayne Corley, Mike Corley, Gary Wilson and Jay Ivy. Visitation will be Saturday from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Riser Funeral Home, Hwy 165, Olla and Sunday from 1 p.m. until time of services at the Urania United Methodist. ========== ------------------------- PRITCHARD, Lessie "Sarah" ------------------------- Submitted by: Bryan Price Winnfield, Louisiana Submitted: January 2008 Source: www.southernfuneralhome.com Funeral services for Mrs. Lessie "Sarah" Pritchard, age 91, of Jonesville will be held at 2:30 p.m., Monday, January 14, 2008 in the chapel of Kinner & Stevens Funeral Home with the Rev. Karl Wayne Doughty officiating. Burial will follow in the Pritchard Cemetery of Rhinehart. Mrs. Pritchard passed away in the LaSalle General Hospital in Jena on Saturday, January 12, 2008. Mrs. Pritchard is the daughter of the late William Walter Hanes and the late Ada Viola Doughty Hanes. She was also preceded in death by her husbnd of 43 years Gove A. Pritchard, Sr.; one son Timothy Pritchard, and one brother George Hanes. Mrs. Pritchard is survived by ten daughters: Jane Jacobson of Baton Rouge, Jimmie Lea McClure of Tampa, Fl., Mary Gibson of Lafayette, Willie Alene "Bill" Smith of Erath, Carrie Jean LaPorte of Denham Springs, Doris "Shorty" Herring of Starks, Phyllis "Bimbo" Estis of Manifest, Polly Cockerham of Jena, Jill Miller of Jena, and Kathy Pritchard of Houston, Tx.; four sons: Gove A. "Buddy" Pritchard, Jr., of Tampa, Fl., Jerry "Oggie" Pritchard of Jena, George Pritchard of Jonesville, and Mike Pritchard also of Jonesville; three sisters: Marry McKnight, Ann Freeman, and Walterine Bradford; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nices, nephews and friends. Pallbearers will be: Gerald Pritchard, Wayne Pritchard, Doyle Pritchard, LaVelle Pritchard, Pap Pritchard, and Bear Pritchard. Honorary Pallbearers will be Lester Hailey, Darryl Thaxton, Cooter Pritchard, and all of Mrs. Pritchard's nephews.
