He was employed in the logging industry. Services were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, May 12, at the Aimwell Pentecostal Church in Aimwell with the Reverends Kirk Mayo and Everett May officiating. Interment followed in the Randall Cemetery of Aimwell under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena. Survivors include his wife, Mary Poole of Jena; two daughters, Lisa Poole of Jena and Crystal McKlemurry of Zachary; six sons, Kim Poole of Trout, Kevin Poole of Georgetown, Jeffery McLawchilin of Jena, Jason Haymon of Trout, Daniel Haymon of Zachary, and Don Haymon of Jena; one step-son, Charles Stevens of Jena; four sisters, Velma Ford, Emer Oxner, and Shirley Smith, all of Aimwell, and Ruth Butler of Pineville; two brothers, Clifton Poole of Olla, and Melvin Poole of Jena; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchidren. Pallbearers were nephews, Jerry Moss, Ray Moss, David Moss, Bobby Poole, Charles Stevens, and James Poole.
