ROBERTS, Winford, Sr.

 Winford D. Roberts, Sr., 72, of Tullos, died Thursday, January 1, 1998, at
his residence.

 He was a native of Winn Parish and a retired welder. He was also a veteran
of World War II.

 Services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 3 at the Beulah Baptist Church
near Georgetown with Rev. Lamar Carpenter officiating.

 Interment followed in the Roberts Cemetery under direction of Southern
Funeral Home of Winnfield.

 Survivors include his wife, Billie Roberts of Tullos; three sons, George
Ronald Roberts of Shepherd, Texas, Winford D. Roberts, Jr., of Romayor, Texas
and Roger Dale Roberts of Tullos; two daughters, Linda Darlene Parmley of
Cypress, Texas and Sandra Lynn Thompson of Shepherd, Texas; his mother, Thelma
Roberts of Winnfield; one sister, Eloise Pendarvis of Tullos; 12 grandchildren
and three great-grandchildren.

 Pallbearers were Rusty Roberts, Eugene Roberts, Jason Wells, Mark Parmely,
Burt Roberts and W.E. Huto.
