Robertson, 74, of Jena, died at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 11, 1998 at the LaSalle General Hospital of Jena. He was a retired deck captain of a dredge boat and was a member of Whitehall United Pentecostal Church. He was born June 22, 1923 at Nebo to the union of Elijah and Janie Collins Robertson. Services were held at 11 a.m., Friday, March 13, at Whitehall United Pentecostal Church with Rev. Joey Paul officiating. Interment followed in the Tidwell Cemetery of Nebo under direction of Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home of Jena. Survivors include his wife, Lou Breithaupt Robertson of Jena; two daughters, Nadine R. Hodges and Janie R. Smith, both of Jena; one son, Rufus Edward Robertson of Atlanta, Ga.; one sister, Jo R. Breithaupt of French Fork; one brother, Ike Robertson of Wildsville; and five grandchildren. Pallbearers were Ray Barnhill, Roger Huffman, Richard Pippins, Lester Warwick, Tony Westbrooks and Jeff Sandifer. Honorary pallbearers were Huey reeves, Pete Coon, Clovis Gibson and John W. Bailey.
