Revels, 60, of Ridgecrest, died at Concordia parish hospital in Feriday Tuesday afternoon Jan. 11 following a long illness. Funeral services for Mr. Revels, a retired sawmill superintendent and native of Florida were held at 10 a.m. Friday at Young's funeral home chapel in Ferriday with the Rev. Noah Langley officiating. Mr. Revels worked for the Louisiana Delta Lumber Company at Trout and Jena after which he was employed until retirement by Sondheimer Lumber Co. Of Sondheimer. He had lived in Louisiana since 1949 and at Ridgecrest for the past year and a half. He was a member of Tallulah Masonic Lodge No. 308 and a Shriner of El Karubah Temple in Shreveport. Burial will be at Jena cemetery of Jena with masonic graveside services. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Dallas Revels of Ridgecrest; two sons, James D. Revels of tucson, Ariz, G. B. Revels of Sanford, Fla.; two brothers, John W. Revels of Fort Myers, Fla., Owen J. Revels of Jacksonville, Fla.; three sisters, Mrs. Ruth Revell of Bowling Green, Fla., Mrs. Betty Sheldon of Tampa, Fla., and Mrs. Nina Douglas of Immokalie, Fla.
