"Sox" Randall, 85, of Olla, died Thursday, January 21, 1999, at Hardtner Medical Center in Urania following an extended illness. He was a retired truck driver and was born on November 29, 1913 to the union of Clinton Dewitt, Sr. and Lottie Jane Smith Randall. He formerly resided in Opelousas. Services were held at 10 a.m., Saturday, January 23, at the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Olla with Rev. Bobby Cruse officiating. Graveside services were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, at the Bellevue Memorial Cemetery of Opelousas, with burial under direction of Riser, Olla. Survivors include his wife, Gladys Randall of Olla; one daughter, Carol Randall of Olla; two brothers, Cecil Randall and H. P. "Pete" Randall, Sr., both of Olla; one sister, Catherine Brewton of Goldonna; and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Alvis Randall, David Hatten, Tommy Hatten, Aaron Hatten, and Al Huguet. Memorials may be made to the Louisiana Baptist Children's Home in Monroe.
