Chester Rushing Died Thursday After Illness

Funeral services for Chester M. Rushing, 52, of Good Pine were at 2 p.m.
Saturday at Good Pine Baptist Church with the Rev. Jimmy Bolton officiating.

Burial was in Welcome Home Cemetery near Grayson under the direction of Riser
& Son Funeral Home of Columbia.

Mr. Rushing died Thursday at LaSalle General Hospital in Jena after a lengthy
illness. He was a native of Columbia and a veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Dorothy M. Rushing of Jena; one daughter,
Mrs. Barbara Wade of Metairie; his mother, Mrs. Addie Rushing of Columbia and
one granddaughter.
