Roark, Retired Barber, Succumbs July 9 Funeral services for Genie C. Roark, 75, of Jena were held July 11 at 10 a.m. at Rosefield Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Doughty officiating. Burial was at Rosefield under the direction of Kinner and Stevens, Inc. of Jena for Mr. Roark who was a retired barber. Survivors include his widow; Gladys F. Roark of Jena; one daughter, Mrs. Imogene Poole of Bridge City, Texas; three brothers, Eddie Roark of Jena, and Clarence Roark and John Roark, both Antioch; one sister, Mrs. Rosa Andrews of Aimoch; and three grandchildren. Pallbearers were Max Andrews, N. H. Poole, Jr., David Roark, Vernon Roark, Ronald Andrews and Keith Andrews. Honorary pallbearers were Rex Tullos, Charlie Hyde, Dennis Cassels, Francis Currington, Nick Edwards, and Sam Andrews.
