Ryan Funeral services for Mrs. Annie A. Ryan, 64, who died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Roy P. Taylor at 11 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 11, were held at the new Jena cemetery Jan. 12 at 3 p.m., with the Rev. Harvey McClure conducting the services, assisted by the Rev. Larry Walker and Oscar Bradford. Mrs. Ryan was born in Catahoula parish Jan. 29, 1865, and was the wife of the late Bert Ryan of Utility, La. She is survived by six daughters, Mrs. Tillman C. Spann, Jonesville; Mrs. Jessie E. Gallender, Ferriday; Mrs. Roy P. Taylor, Jena; Mrs. Claude W. Poole, Jonesville, and Mrs. Vernon R. Evans, Jena; four sons, Mr. Elton C. Ryan, Jonesville; Sgt. Richard H. Ryan, Camp Carrel, Ky.; Mr. Arlington Ryan, Jonesville, and Mr. Willie W. Ryan, Jonesville; 22 grand children, two great-grandchildren, two brothers and two sisters. Funeral arrangements were in charge of Hixon Brothers Funeral home of Jena.
