Ricky Nugent and Rev. Donnie Boney officiating. Interment will follow in the Olla Cemetery in Olla. Mr. Ramsey was born in Jonesboro on October 17, 1947 and died Tuesday, December 23, 2003 at his residence in Olla. He was a load operator with Ark-La-Miss Timber Co. for twelve years and a member of the First United Pentecostal Church in Jena. Survivors include his wife: Brenda Duchesne Ramsey of Olla, his son and daughter-in-law: Samuel Jessie, Sr. and Jennifer B. Ramsey of Kelly, his son: Brandon Johnson- Ramsey of Olla, his daughter: Melissa Dawn Ramsey of Olla, his daughters and sons-in-law: Susie and Tracy Beamesderfer of Chatham and Misty and Chris Hartley of Chatham, his parents: Jesse and Obelene Davis Ramsey of Olla, his sister: Judy Richey of Olla, nine grandchildren and a special niece: Lindsy Laszlo of Olla. Pallbearers will be David King, Joey King, Johnny Wayne Gilliam, Ernest Ramsey, Everett Ramsey and Randall [Hoppie] Thames. Honorary pallbearers are Micheal Cupples and Samuel [Pee Wee] Jessie Ramsey.
