Robertson King Webb


 With regret the Times chronicles the death on Thursday, the 5th inst., at
6:00 o'clock a. m., of Mrs Betty Webb, aged 50 years and a life-time
resident of LaSalle.  Mrs. Webb had been an invalid for more than ten years,
and with almost unparalleled tenaciousness clung to life with the
determination to see her children read to maturity.  Mrs. Webb bore her many
bodily ills with a stoicism truly remarkable and only after the ravages of
disease had reduced the frail body to a mere shell did she give up the fight
for life.  She is survived by three sons and one daughter.  Messrs. Frazier
King, Howard and Dallas Webb and Miss Josie Webb, and a number of other
relatives who are extended our deepest sympathy and condolences in their
time of sorrow and trouble.  The remains were laid to rest in the Belah
graveyard on Thursday evening, the funeral being attended by a large circle
of friends and relatives.  May she rest in peace.
