Robertson, 86, of the Magnolia Community, died at 3:30 p.m., Saturday, October 29, 2005, at the Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria. She was a homemaker and a member of Victory Baptist Church. Mrs. Robertson was born June 10, 1919, at Jena, to the union of her parents, Willie B. and Lillie Corley Hanner. Services were held at 2 p.m., Monday, Oct. 31, at the chapel of Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home in Jena with the Revs. Byron Gray, Walter Lloyd and Hardy Beaubouef officiating. Interment followed in the Magnolia Cemetery in the Magnolia Community under direction of Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home of Jena. Survivors include two daughters, Jo Alice R. Baxter of Abeline, Tx., and Joyce R. Slay of Deville; two sons, Carroll "Dink" Robertson and Lloyd E. Robertson, both of Jena; one sister, Josie Bodie of Jena; nine grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Eddy Jolly, Jeff Slay, Keith Slay, Charles Slay, Kenneth Slay, and Ralph Smith. Honorary pallbearers were DeWayne Slay, Eric Robertson, Shane Robertson, John Cowan, Roy Slay, Adam Scroggs, Brad Stephens, Francis Breland, and men of Victory Baptist Church. ======================================= ========== > END OF RECORD <=========== =======================================
