He had been missing since February 1, 1998. He was a machinist, a member of Magnolia Baptist Church and a veteran of the United States Navy. A waterside memorial service was held at 12 noon on Saturday, February 14, 1998 at the Rockbar Boat Landing in the Magnolia Community off La. 776 with Rev. Byron Norris officiating. Survivors include his wife, Martha H. Sanders of Jena; one daughter, TyAnn Kuhn of Jena; two sons, Wayne Sanders of Salem, Conn. and Albert Sanders of Picayune, Miss.; his mother, Josephine E. Breland of Jena; his step-father, Willie Breland of Jena; three sisters, Daisy Franks and Faye Odom, both of Poplarville, Miss.; and Gladys Ammons of Picayune, Miss.; one brother, C. J. Sanders of Poplarville, Miss.; one step-brother, Pete Breland of Jena; and two grandchildren. (The Jena Times, Wednesday, February 18, 1998)
