She was a homemaker. Service were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 18 at the chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena with the Revs. Glen Roark and Arvie Jolly officiating. Interment followed in the Wilbanks Cemetery near Summerville under direction of Hixson Brothers, Inc. of Jena. Survivors include two daughters, Vernie Norris and Joyce Leavins, both of Olla; one son, Doyle M. Smith of Jena; three sisters, Gracie Ainsworth of Jonesvile, Oleta Ainsworth and Meddie Breithaupt, both of Jena; one brother, Gelia Ainsworth of Olla; 11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Larry Norris, Gary Noris, Craig Leavins, Kenneth Dunn, Wayne Ainsworth and Donnie Wilbanks. (The Jena Times, Wednesday, January 21, 1998)
