Richard Hunter Stevens, Sr.

Richard Hunter Stevens, Sr., 46, of Olla, died Tuesday, July 7, 1998, at the
Glenwood Regional Medical Center in West Monroe following a brief illness.

A skidder operator in the logging industry, Stevens was born June 8, 1952, in
Monroe to the union of John L. and Betty Cruse Stevens. He was an active
member of the Olla Assembly of God Church.

Services were held at 10 a.m., Thursday, July 9, at the Olla Assembly of God
Church with the Revs. Lowell Brannen and Toby Miller officiating.

Interment followed in the Lowe Cemetery at Kelly under direction of Riser
Funeral Home of Olla.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Ellen Bailey Stevens of Olla; one son,
Richard Hunter Stevens, Jr. of Olla; two brothers, Jackie Stevens of Jena and
Bobby Stevens of Olla.

Pallbearers were Ken Williams, James Cruse, Elbert Crusse, Billy Baum, Bobby
Dubose and Marvin Stevens, Jr.
