She was a homemaker. Services were held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 23, in the chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena with the Revs. Larry Doughty and John Spears officiating. Interment followed in the Woodland Cemetery of Jena under direction of Hixson Brothers, Inc. of Jena. Survivors include three daughters, Marquitta S. Brandin and Bonita S. Card, both of Woodville, Tx., and Joyce S. Coates of Columbia; three sons, Robert A Smith of Jonesville, Ennis H. Smith of Jena and Randall G. Smith of Dumas, Tx.; two sisters, Joyce Kee and Mary Brooks, both of Arp, Tx.; five brothers, Sonny Barton, Pete Barton and Jim Barton, all of Tyler, Tx., Charles Wayne Barton of Arp, Tx., and David Barton of Victoria, Tx.; 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Troy Thacker, Freddie Thacker, Todd Cooper, Albert "Munchie" Tolar, Lum Myles and J. W. Myles. Honorary pallbearers were Dub Smith, Ed Smith, and grandsons.
