She was a homemaker and a member of the Olla Pentecostal Church. She was born in Franklin Parish, on August 15, 1914 to the union of Hines and Elizabeth Rollins Bowlin. Services were held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 3, at the Olla United Pentecostal Church in Olla with the Revs. Alan Wilson, Bo Harris, E. R. Johnson, Rodney Begnaud and Buford Sims officiating. Interment followed in the Sharon Cemetery near Sikes under direction of Riser Funeral Home of Olla. Survivors include four sons, Leroy Shelton of Urania, Ronnie Glen Shelton of Waverly, Robert Shelton and J. R. Shelton, Jr., both of Olla; two daughters, Ruby Taylor and Bonnie Bruce, both of Olla; 17 grandchildren and 31 great- grandchildren. Pallbearers were Joe Williams, Steve Bowlin, Marty Bowlin, G. C. Williams, Douglas Mayo and Bobbie Shelton. Honorary pallbearers were Jack Dye and James Westbrooks.
