Jeddie Smith, 50, of Jena died Saturday, July 25 at 8:30 a.m. in a Pineville
hospital.

Funeral services were held Sunday, July 26, at 2 p.m. at the Midway
Pentecostal church with the Rev. R. B. Bingham officiating. Burial was at
Heard cemetery near Manifest.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Christine Smith of Columbia; two Glyn Smith
of Columbia and Dale Smith of Urania; one daughter, Mrs. Jerry Adams of
Urania; three step-children, Mrs. A. D. Gilmore, Miss Peggy White and Billy
White, all of Columbia; his mother, Mrs. Lizzie Smith of Jena and three
sisters, Mrs. Minnie Netherland, Mrs. Aubrey Smith and Mrs. Edna McCarty, all
of Jena.
