Ellazene Smith

Ellazene Smith, 72, of Jena, died at 7:19 a.m., Thursday, December 24, 1998,
at St. Frances Cabrini Hospital of Alexandria.

She was a homemaker and member of East Jena Baptist Church.

She was born March 16, 1926, to the union of John and Stella Boyd.

Services were held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 26, at East Jena Baptist Church
with the Revs. Mickey Bounds and Craig James officiating.

Interment followed in Pleasant Hill Cemetery of Jena under direction of Hixson
Brothers Funeral Home of Jena.

Survivors include her husband, Willie R. Smith of Jena; two daughters, Willie
Jean Smith of Jena and Gracce Wiley of Larto; four sons, Charles M. Smith of
Pineville, Curtis Smith of Waterproof, Jimmy Dale Smith and Donnie Wayne Smith
of Jena; four sisters, Mellie Randall, Jackie Reeder and Aldis Smith, all of
Jena; and Rose Smith of Ridgecrest; two brothers, Billy Dale Boyd and Carlos
M. Boyd, both of Jena; 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Edwin Smith, Dale Smith, Louis Clark, Marvin Clark, Shayne
Smith and Jonathan Smith.
