She was a homemaker. Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church of Rhinehart, with Rev. H.S. Nesby, officiating. Burial followed in Alexander Cemetery of Rhinehart under direction of Hixson Brothers Inc. of Jena. Survivors include wo sons, William W. Simmons Jr. of West Covina, Calif. and Richard L. Simmons of Rhinehart; eight daughters, Jo B. Savage of Jena, Walter Teen Thomas and Linda S. Simmons, both of West Covina, Calif., Rosie P. Bell of Jena, Mamie J. Farris of Rhinehart and Peggy A Vinson of Las Vegas, Nev.; a brother, Leroy Ezelle of Newellton; two sisters, Mamie Bowie of Rhinehart and Susie Renfrow of Winslow, Arizona; 43 grandchildren and 17 great- grandchildren.
