RALPH   L.  STANLEY

     Ralph L.  Stanley, of Mooring Port, died in Shreveport, at the age of
68, last Monday, New Years Day.  He was a retired mechanic.

     Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at the Hixson
Brothers Chapel of Jena, with Rev. G.  R.  Nolan, officiating.

     Burial followed in Belah Cemetery of Belah under direction of Hixson
Brothers Inc.

     Survivors include his widow, a daughter, Mrs.  Thomas Fisher of Mooring
Port; two brothers, Leonard Stanley and Elbert Stanley both of El Dorado,
Ark.

     Pallbearers were Barry Johnson, Frank Peppers, Milton Smith, Winnie
Terrell, Aubrey Coon and F.  D.  Ford.
