Date: February 22, 1989 Headline: Roy William Swanson Roy William Swanson, 78, of Lake Jackson, Texas, and a former resident of Olla, died February 3, 1989, at Brazosport Memorial Hospital in Lake Jackson. Services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 6th at Lakewood Chapel in Lake Jackson with Dr. George Atkinson. Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7th at Blake Cemetery near Olla with Rev. Lawrence King, officiating. Burial was under direction of Freeport -Lakewood Funeral Home. Survivors include his wife, Nila Cupples Swanson of Lake Jackson; four daughters, Camille Caskey of Clute, Texas, Eileen Wilds, Jan Weiczorek and Kathy Dyke, all of Lake Jackson; a brother, Art Swanson of Columbia City, Indiana; and two sisters, Elsie Budde and Della Perkins of Sioux Falls, S.D., and seven grandchildren.
