TARVER, Maggie Elenora

   78, of Trout, died Tuesday, Sept. 30,1997 in St. Francis Cabrini
Hospital of Alexandria.

   She was a homemaker.

   Services were held Thursday, Oct. 2, 1997 in the chapel of Hixson
Brothers Funeral Home of Jena.

   Burial followed in the Union Baptist Church Cemetery of Arcadia
under the direction of Hixson Brothers Inc. of Jena.

   Survivors include her husband, Whit Tarver of Trout; one daughter,
Shirley Sherlock of Trout; five sons, Jessie Renfrow, Jr. and Dee 
Renfrow both of Sterling, Alaska, Leon Renfrow of Lafayette, Don
Renfrow of San Antonio, Tx. And Jerry Renfrow of Harleton, Tx.;
Two sisters, Alma Williams of Simsboro and Laverna Best of Arcadia;
23 grandchildren and a host of great and great-great-grandchildren.
