Taylor From The Jena Times, Dec. 1, 1939 Al. G. Taylor, 65 years of age, was called to death, Friday, November 24, at 12:40 p.m. Mr Taylor had been a patient at the Pineville hospital since November 17, suffering from pneumonia. He leaves to mourn his passing: his widow, Mrs. Al G. Taylor, Misses Mattie and Lonie Taylor, daughters, Marion Dee and Ezell Taylor, son of Jena, Mrs. Martha Taylor of Jena, Will Taylor of Glenmora, Harvey Taylor of Jena and Baker Taylor of LeCompte, brothers, five grand children and a host of friends and other relatives. Funeral services were held November 25 at 10 a.m. at the First Baptist Church with Rev. B. T. Goodwin and Rev. Lee Brooks of Rhinehart officiating. Interment took place at the Graham Cemetery, Nebo. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Riser and Upshaw Funeral Home of Jena. Active pallbearers were : S.R. Poland, Oscar Peyton, Bill Blake, W. F. Mackey, Clyde C. Russell, E.E. Jone, Lloyd Whatley, J.D. Davis. Honorary pallbearers were W.W. Brewton, A.B. Thompson, Joe Taylor, A.D. Flowers, Clayton Mitchell, Dr. D.L.Trax, W.g. Coleman, C.L. Rambin, Curtis Posey and Eddie Brooks. Mr. Taylor was a well known farmer of LaSalle Parish, where he spent his life.
