Obituary of Lawrence W. Thornton

L.W. Thornton Succumbs; Rites Held Monday

 Funeral services for Lawrence W. Thornton, 67, of Jena were held Monday
at 10 a.m. at Magnolia Baptist Church with Rev. John Lee Dayton officiating.

 Burial was at Magnolia Cemetery at Nebo under the direction of Hixson 
Bros. Inc.

 Mr. Thornton died at 9 p.m. Saturday at Hardtner Medical Center in Urania.

 Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Bessie Thornton of Jena; one daughter,
Mrs. Dorothy Breland of Jena; one brother, Jessie Thornton of Baton Rouge;
two sisters, Mrs. Cora Reinniger and Mrs. Rosea Chaplin, both of Monroe;
two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
