He was a veteran of World War II. Services were held at 10:00 a.m. Monday at the chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena with Rev. Mickey Bounds and Rev. K.G. Brooks officiating. Burial followed at the Pine Grove Cemetery of near Jena under arrangements by Hixson Brothers. Survivors include four sons, J.D. Toler, Albert Toler, Delbert Toler and Crusty Toler of Jena; one brother, Cecil Toler of Kankakee, Ill.; Seven sisters, Mrs. Ada Boie and Mrs. Grancy Stout, both of Ana, Ill., Mrs. Opal Quigley, Miss Helen Toler, Mrs Martha Nelson and Mrs. Bessie Mathis, all of Kankakee, Ill.; and five grandchildren. Pallbearers were Tommy Joy, James Deason, Bobby Briethaupt, Milton Reeves, Lloyd Briethaupt, Phillip Bradford, Mike Crooks and Leslie Crooks.
