She was a homemaker and had served out a term on the LaSalle Parish Police Jury following the death of her husband, Lloyd Thompson, Sr., in the late 1960's Services were held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, April 14, in the chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena with the Revs. Jimmy Keene and Huey Bradford officiating. Interment followed in the Belah Cemetery of Trout under direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena. Survivors include three daughters, Marilyn Erwin of Jonesville, Connie Huett and Sandra Hopkins, both of Jena; one son, Lloyd Thompson, Jr. of Jena; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Brandon Thompson, Marlon Hopkins, Dustin Hopkins, Bodie King, Ellis Erwin and J. C. Thompson. (The Jena Times, Wednesday, April 15, 1998)
