Thompson, 75-year-old resident of Belah, died Sunday morning at the home of her daughter, Pauline Brooks of Trout following a lengthy illness. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m., Monday at the Belah Pentecostal church with the Rev. Milton Roberts, officiating. Interment followed in the Belah cemetery, under the direction of Riser and Son's Funeral Home of Columbia. Mrs. Thompson had been a resident of the Belah community for approximately 20 years. She is survived by one other daughter, Mrs. Evelyn McElwee, Alexandria; one son, William Thompson, Trout; a step son, Edgar Thompson, Trout; a sister, Mrs. Angie Whatley, trout; two brothers, Manuel Caldwell, Cotton Valley, Joseph Caldwell, Trout; 14 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren.
