All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Jena Man Killed Near Aimwell in Truck Accident Rufus Terrall, 32 year old Jena man, was almost instantly killed near Aimwell Monday morning when he fell from a log truck and the truck ran over his head, crushing his skull and causing other body injuries. The accident occurred about 11 o'clock Monday morning and it is said that Terrall's death came within two hours after the accident occurred. He was employed by his brother, J. B. Terrall, a logging contractor and it is supposed that he arose from the truck to reach for some object in the back and became overbalanced and fell to the highway. Funeral services were held at the Oak Grove church near Pollock at 6:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon. Rev. L. D. Posey of Jena officiating. Interment followed in the Oak Grove cemetery under direction of Kinner & Stevens. The deceased is survived by the following relatives: J. B. Terrell, Rosefield, Earnest Terrell, Zenoria, Corey and Pomplo Terrell, Rosefield, brothers; Lucy Terrell, Winnfield and Annie Terrell, DeRidder, sisters; Sam Terrell and Wess Terrell, Jena, half-brothers. His step mother who resided in Texas also survives him.
