She was a retired school teacher with the LaSalle Parish School System and a member of the First Baptist Church in Olla where she taught Sunday school. Services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, at the First Baptist Church in Olla with the Revs. Lawrence King and Glen Wagnon, officiating. Interment followed in the Olla Cemetery with arrangements by Riser and Son Funeral Home of Columbia. She is survived by one sister, Margaret Stewart of Napa, California; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Ray Duke, Curtis Richardson, Edward Harris, Quincy Cornwell, bob Allbritton and Blake Sims.
