Thacker, 69, of the Summerville Community, died at 6:30 p.m., January 3, 1991 at Glenwood Regional Medical Center in West Monroe. She was employed in private duty nursing, a member of Summerville Baptist Church and Eastern Star, Jena Chapter. Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the chapel of Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home of Jena with the Revs. Gary Norris and Mickey Hudnall officiating. Burial followed at Harris Chapel Cemetery near Olla under direction of Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home of Jena. Survivors include a daughter, Virginia Jones of Farmerville; four sons, Douglas Thacker, Freddie Thacker, and Juan Thacker, all of Summerville and Troy Thacker of Chickasaw Community; three brothers, Troy L. Nelson, Franklin Nelson and E.J. Nelson, all of Houston, Texas; one sister, Louise Harris of Jonesville; 18 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Mike Allen, Evan Thacker, Dewayne Ginn, Kevin Leavins, James Gray and Panic Smith.
