Rev. Jabus D. Thornhill

Rev. Jabus D. Thornhill, 78, of Aimwell, died at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, January
16, 1991, at the LaSalle General Hospital of Jena.

He was a retired Baptist minister and member of the Aimwell Baptist Church.

Services were held at 2 p.m. Friday at Aimwell Baptist Church with the Revs.
S.B. Spinks, James Simons and Mitch Donohue, officiating.

Burial followed in Hair Cemetery of Jena under direction of Kinner and Stevens
Funeral Home of Jena.

Survivors include three daughters, Pauline Terral, Lois Poole and Norma
Elliott, all of Aimwell; one brother, C. Emmet Thornhill of Winnsboro; one
sister, Catherine Williams of Sicily Island, his mother, Harriet pitman
Thornhill of Wisner; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were grandsons, Lynn Elliott, James Elliott, Ray Fannin, Sherwood
Poole, glen Poole and Larry Taylor.
