Former Sheriff LaSalle Parish Dies In Jena

Arthur Barlow Thompson, 84, of Jena, died Friday, July 26, 1968.

He was a former sheriff of LaSalle Parish and a brother of the late O. B.
Thompson, former resident of Winnfield.

Funeral services were conducted Monday at 3 p.m. at the First Baptist Church
in Jena with interment in Jena Memorial Cemetery.

Survivors include his widow, Ida Coffer Thompson, three sons and four
daughters.
