He was a 1952 graduate of Jena High School and a graduate of Louisiana Tech in Ruston with a degree in Business Administration and Accounting. He was the general manager of Lloyd N. Moreau, Inc., in Pineville. He was a member of Forest Hill Masonic Lodge No. 254, York Rite Masonic B odies No. 148, Mid-State Shrine Club in Alexandria and a member of Habibi Temple AAONMS, Lake Charles. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy and amember of Forest Hill Baptist Church. Services were held at 11 a.m., Friday, May 26, in Forest Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Robert McLain officiating. Interment followed in Alexandria Memorial Gardens under direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Alexandria. Survivors include his wife, Gayle McGilvary Toney of Forest Hill; one daughter, Melania T. Date: March 26, 2003 Headline: Jimmy Dewayne Tullos Jimmy Dewayne Tullos, 19, of Olla, died Wednesday, March 19, 2003, in an oilfield accident near Chatham. He was employed by Rowan Drilling Company and was a 2001 graduate of Jena High School. Services were held at 10 a.m., Saturday, March 22, at the East Jena Baptist Church with the Revs. Eddie thompson and Jimmy Keene officiating. Interment followed in the Oak Grove Cemetery under direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena. Survivors include his fiance', Jenna Cockerham of Jena; one daughter, Kaylea Tullos of Jena; his parents, Gerald and Evelyn Tullos of Olla; one brother, Daniel Lee tullos of Olla; paternal grandparents, Jimmie and Ann Tuillos of Olla; grandmother, Brenda Tullos of Harrisonburg; maternal grandmother, Faye aaron of Harrisonburg. "Buck" Tullos, 91, of Olla, died Friday, January 28, 2005, at his residence. He was a retired oilfield mechanic and a veteran of the United States Army, having served during five major campaigns during World War II. He was also a member of the First Baptist Church in Olla and served on the Olla Town Council for a number of years. Mr. Tullos was born on September 3, 1913, in Tullos to the union of Louis and Docia McVay Tullos. Services werew held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 30, at the First Baptist Church in Olla with the Revs. Woody Rimes and Milton Wilson officiating. Interment followed in the Olla Cemetery under direction of Riser Funeral Home of Olla. SUrvivors include his wife of 59 years, Louise May Tullos of Olla; one daughter, Carolyn Page and husband Buddy of Columbia; one son, Paul Tullos and wife Rebecca of Jonesboro; five grandchildren, Carla Page of Jacobson and husband Denious of Columbia, Christy Tullos Mayo of Alexandria, Scott Page and wife Tina of Columbia, Travis Tullos and wife Julie of Jonesboro, John Tullos of Jonesboro; ten great- grandchildren; and one brother, Lacy Tullos and wife Dot of Cotten Valley. Turnley Last Rites Held at Nolley Cemetery May 18 Services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 18, 1946, at the Trout Methodist church for James Edwin Turnley, 66, Trout, with Rev. W.D. Milton and Rev. W.P. Howell officiating. Interment was in the Nolley Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Kinner and Stevens Home for Funerals. Mr. Turnley passed away at 1:10 a.m. Friday, may 17, at his home in Trout after an illness of about 15 months. The deceased was an active member of the Methodist church a member of the LaSalle Parish Police Jury, and belonged to the Masonic Lodge. Mr. Turnley was a farmer and logging contractor. He had been a resident of Trout for many years, having been married here in July, 1908, to Miss Viola Maude Davis. Surviving the deceased are his wife, six daughters, Mrs. Hubert Thompson, Galena Park, Texas, Mrs. H.H. Russell, Tullos, Mrs. J.O. Anders and Mrs. Van Marsh, of Winnfield, Mrs. Douglas Lassiter, Morton, Miss., and Mrs. A.C. Smith, Monroe, one son, J.E. Turnley, Jr., of Trout; 14 grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. P.B. Crawford, Harrisonburg, La., and Ms. Loula Price, George La., two brothers, Taylor Turnley, Shreveport and P.V. Turnley Galena Park, Texas. Burial followed at Woodland Cemetery of Jena under direction of Kinner and Stevens, Inc., of Jena. Survivors include her husband, Herbert Tyhler of Jena and a large number of nieces and nephews.
