Services were held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, feb. 1, at Standard Baptist Church in Olla with Revs. Jack McKeithen and Ed. Smith, officiating. Interment followed in Beech Creek Cemetery of Urania under direction of Riser and Son Funeral Home of Columbia. Survivors include his wife, Leta Bell Vickers of Olla; a son, Michael Glenn Vickers of Ft. Bragg, Calif.; a daughter, Kimberly Vanier of Watertown, New York; two step-sons, Festus Harrison of Grayson and Shane May of Olla; a step- daughter, Angela Silvia of Grayson; his mother, Blanche Taylor Vickers of Olla; a brother, H.M. (Skeeter) Vickers of Olla; one grandchild and two step- grandchildren. Pallbearers were Alton McNaughton, Jack Womack, Joe Johnson, Smith Hopkins, Jackie Green and Billy Joe Taylor.
