She was a homemaker and a member of the Jena Church of Christ. She was born December 15, 1904 in Belah to the union of Jessie and Henretta Taylor Methvin. Services were held at 10 a.m., Friday, September 25, at the chapel of Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home in Jena with Paul Havener and Mitchell Norman officiating. Burial followed in the Belah Cemetery under direction of Kinner and Stevens, Inc. of Jena. Survivors include one daughter, Joyce Thompson of Jena; five sons, Parvin Butler of Jena, James Butler of Terry, Ms., Robert Butler of Hoyoke, Ma., Jessie Butler of Phoenix, Az., and Willie Butler of Spring, Tx.; 18 grandchildren. Pallbearers were Wayne Butler, Stacy Ainsworth, Jeremy Ainsworth, Parvin Butler, Jr., Kenin Butler and Glenn butler.
