He was a former grocery merchant in Jena operating Walker's Grocery and market for many years with his parents. In recent years, he has operated the Red Tin Barn in Jena. He was born October 17, 1942 in Alexandria to the union of Leland and Mavis Smith Walker. Services were held at 3 p.m., Monday, January 25, at Jena First United Pentecostal Church with the Revs. Crawford Coon, Wayne Pounders, G. A. Magnum, C. D. Thornton and Rodney Begnaud officiating. Interment followed in the Belah Cemetery under arrangements by Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home of Jena. Survivors include two daughters, Bridgette Smith of Olla and Tami Blair of Livingston; one son, Christopher Aaron Walker of Jena; his mother, Mavis Walker of Jena; two sisters, Marlyn Whatley and Carolyn Jones, both of Jena; and six grandchildren. Pallbearers were Brent Jones, Kelvin Smith, Ronald Price, Danny Jones, Vincent Prat and Benny Smith.
