She was a homemaker and member of the Urania First Baptist Church. Services were held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church in Urania with Rev. Lloyd Hughes, officiating. Burial followed at Woodland Cemetery of Jena under direction of Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home in Jena. Survivors include her husband, Fred Wilemon of Olla; two sons, Charles R. Ponds of Providence, R.I. and James M. Ponds of Las Vegas, Nev.; a daughter, Cheryl Stapleton of Olla; two brothers, James Meredith and Herman Meredith, both of Urania; three sisters, Fern Boysza of topah, Ariz., Yvonne Veerkamp and Juanita Cox, both of Urania; her mother, Lillie Mae Meredith of urania; and nine grandchildren. Pallbearers were Tommy Lofton, Jamie Ogden, Chris Meredith, Anthony Lofton, Jamie Seaward and Cary McGuffee.
